This tensioner takes up chain slack when you convert a geared frame to single speed, and it mounts at the derailleur hanger. The same oil slick finish is used on the matching single-speed freewheels, which come in 13T, 14T, 15T, 16T and 18T. Both parts are made from aluminium for dirt jump and street builds.
